Hello!

My name is Rich Bailey. Mostly a digital colorist I started out doing pencils and inks. I grew up a huge comic book
fan and after seeing John Byrne and Mark Sylvestri's amazing art from the 80's I knew then I wanted to be an artist drawing such amazing characters.

Through high school I worked hard on my artwork but never attaining my "own" style but I kept at it. After school, I joined the Navy instead of attending college and enjoyed traveling the world abroad. At this time my artwork took a backseat but I always found some time to sketch and doodle.

After the Navy I started working with computers and a friend of mine introduce me to Photoshop and Corel Draw and I started playing with digital coloring as sort of a hobby. I never took it too seriously but I loved it and eventually it got noticed when I started posting my work. I've also recently started collecting comic books again as well as graphic novels, I missed reading them more than I knew. And the new artwork out there is top notch.

I am a huge fan of music - the hard metal type, which turns heads since I'm no spring chicken, I usually jam out when I work so it helps. I occasionally play the drums and used to be in a metal/funk band a few years ago, I've since concentrated on my artwork. I currently live with my girlfriend in Baltimore with our two huge black cats, Wallace and Lupin.

My goals are to continue to color and continue to make progress in my style and create great comic books, shorts, or graphic novels that make the readers take notice.
