From Hard Way Studios comes this thrilling and fast-paced anthology of stories to chill your bones and tales to rip the scream from your throat.  Throughout the entire series stand-out attention is paid to the quality of the artwork, and though there are six artists between the pencilers and inkers, each issue retains a firm sense of continuity and a communal style. Heavy black inks keep the shadows vibrant and endless, while the crisp whites act as counterbalance that cowers in fear of being taken over...  Read More

I'm going to be very clear from the first few words of this review... I love this series! I'm not even going to hide how much I enjoyed the initial two single issues of Morbid Myths. I almost certainly rank it among my top 5 finds of 2007 and I will be buying each and every issue as they come out. It has a home on this reader's pull list!

The artwork was well paced and brought out the emotions that each character was experiencing. As far as the Job the narrator goes, he ranks right up there with The Crypt Keeper.
- Gary Rodrigue (Comicnews.info)

There was some really sharp monochrome artwork in this issue.  If this team will be on-board for the duration of the series, it'll have a very quality look to back any future content.
- 3 star review by Alex Haas (Indycomicreview.com)

...could easily fit in between the worlds of Army of Darkness and
Shaun of the Dead... (Morbid Myths #1)
Mixing a smartly dark sense of humor with absurd curiosity... (Morbid Myths #2)
- C Zuga (Skullring.org)

The characters immediately draw you in. They may be weird but they definitely are likable. You'll find yourself instantly caring about them.
- 5 star review by Richard Vasseur (Jazmaonline.com)

...a richly etched-out and stunningly well-inked ongoing series...
- Wizard Comics Magazine (Top 40 Indie Must-Reads of 2007)

The art by Dwayne Biddix is cool, indie realistic black and white stuff but he really does make the story flow along, keeping your attention page by page.
- 8/10 review by Iann Robinson (Former MTV VJ)

Morbid Myths is lighter than most EC comics, and takes itself less seriously than The Twilight Zone ever did, and because of its tone, and lack of pretension, ends up being more enjoyable, as if it isn't a comic anthology at all but a series of well known urban myths being told around a camp fire.
- 3 star review by Josh Buchin (Silverbulletcomics.com)

Overall, Morbid Myths is a great effort with great art, good pacing a good horror comic host — and some good stories.
- T.E. Pouncy (Geeksofdoom.com)

While neither of these stories are necessarily (in my jaded opinion) "scary" in that "sends you screaming from your bed at night" sense, they do get under your skin and lay into you with a vague disquiet.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's good horror storytelling.
